Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 17 Series globally, introducing the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Xiaomi 17. Both smartphones are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process and feature Leica-branded camera systems. The company says its partnership with Leica has now evolved into a "Strategic Co-creation Model." The devices are scheduled to launch in India on February 11.

Price

The Xiaomi 17 starts at €999 (approximately Rs 1,07,400).

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced from €1,499 (around Rs 1,61,100).

Xiaomi has also introduced the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi at €1,999 (approximately Rs 2,14,900).

Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Features

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is equipped with a 1-inch LOFIC main camera sensor, called the Light Fusion 1050L. It also includes a 200MP Leica telephoto lens supporting 75–100mm mechanical optical zoom, extendable to 400mm equivalent via sensor crop. The device supports Dolby Vision and ACES Log video recording at up to 4K 120fps on both the main and telephoto lenses.

The smartphone measures 8.29mm thick and weighs 218.4g. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. On the front, it features a 6.9-inch OLED display with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate, DC dimming, and Xiaomi's HyperRGB subpixel layout.

Xiaomi 17: Features

The standard Xiaomi 17 uses a Light Fusion 950 (1/1.31-inch) main sensor paired with a Leica 60mm floating telephoto lens that supports portrait photography and 10cm macro shots. It also includes a 50MP front camera with autofocus.

The device is 8.06mm thick and weighs 191g. It houses a 6,330mAh battery, larger than the Ultra, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch OLED display offering up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and a 1–120Hz LTPO refresh rate.
