Thomson has launched its most advanced televisions yet with the debut of its new Mini LED TV series in India. The new models, available in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting July 18, priced at ₹61,999 and ₹95,999, respectively.

The French consumer electronics brand, through its Indian licensee SPPL, is aiming to redefine home entertainment by introducing a high-performance TV range that combines cutting-edge Mini QD 4K display technology, Dolby Atmos-powered 108W audio, and Google TV 4.0. Notably, the new Thomson TVs are India’s first televisions with two in-built subwoofers, offering a 6-speaker setup for immersive surround sound.

The TVs support Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and deliver 1500 nits peak brightness, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, and over 1 billion colours, thanks to 540 local dimming zones and Dynamic Backlight technology. The bezel-less metallic design ensures a premium aesthetic that fits into modern homes.

On the audio front, the Mini LED TVs include sky-firing subwoofers and custom sound modes tuned for movies, music, sports, and games. Paired with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus, the sound system aims to offer a theatre-like experience at home.

Powered by a MediaTek processor, the TVs come with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and support features like MEMC 120Hz, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) — making them suitable for gaming as well.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, built-in Chromecast, and Apple AirPlay. The Google TV platform enables access to over 10,000 apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and YouTube.

Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO of SPPL, called the launch a leap forward in affordable premium TVs. “We’re not just launching TVs—we’re launching the future of Indian living rooms,” he said.

Flipkart’s Rakesh Krishnan added that the platform’s affordability schemes like no-cost EMIs and exchange offers will help bring these TVs to a wider Indian audience.
