Sandisk has launched the Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive in India, introducing what the company says is the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. The storage device is designed for users who need additional storage for laptops and tablets without using larger external drives.
The new flash drive targets professionals, students, and mobile users who rely on slim laptops and tablets with limited built-in storage. Sandisk says the drive is designed to remain plugged into devices while providing additional storage for files, documents, and media.
Design and features
The Sandisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive has a compact form factor that allows it to remain connected to devices without protruding significantly from the port. The company describes the device as a “leave-in” storage solution aimed at users who frequently move between work, travel, and study environments.
The flash drive offers capacities of up to 1TB and supports read speeds of up to 400MB/s for the 128GB to 1TB variants. The 64GB version offers read speeds of up to 300MB/s.
According to Sandisk, the storage device can be used to transfer large files such as videos, presentations, and project data between laptops, tablets, and other USB-C compatible devices. The drive supports multiple USB-C devices, including laptops and tablets that feature USB-C connectivity.
The device also works with the Sandisk Memory Zone application for Windows and macOS systems. The software allows users to manage files and configure automatic backup options.
