Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of SmartThings Home Care in India, a preventive maintenance and proactive service solution for its 2026 Bespoke AI Air Conditioner range. The new feature is designed to continuously monitor AC performance, identify potential issues early, and streamline service support to reduce downtime for users.

The company said the connected service ecosystem will automatically track product health, notify customers when attention is needed, and prepare technicians in advance for faster repairs.

How SmartThings Home Care monitors AC performance

SmartThings Home Care works by tracking key performance parameters of connected air conditioners in real time. The system automatically detects potential problems such as gas shortages, filter replacement needs, and early signs of malfunction before cooling performance is impacted.

Once an issue is identified, users receive push notifications with relevant information and recommended actions. In some cases, troubleshooting guidance can resolve minor concerns without requiring a service visit, reducing disruption to daily use.

Samsung said this approach removes the need for customers to constantly monitor appliance health or raise service requests after performance drops.

Faster service with repair readiness

When a technician visit is required, SmartThings Home Care shares advance diagnostics with service centres. This allows technicians to arrive prepared with the required spare parts, tools, and a repair plan.

According to Samsung, this improves the likelihood of fixing problems on the first visit itself, cutting repeat appointments and service delays. The company said the goal is to deliver quicker resolutions while improving overall ownership experience.

Availability across retail and online platforms

Samsung confirmed that SmartThings Home Care will be available with its 2026 Bespoke AI Air Conditioner range across leading offline retail outlets and online platforms, including Samsung’s official website and major e-commerce portals.

The rollout reflects Samsung’s broader focus on connected appliances that combine performance monitoring with automated after-sales service, aiming to reduce maintenance gaps and improve long-term product reliability for consumers in India.
