Samsung unveils Galaxy Z Fold6. Galaxy Z Flip6 with AI features in India: Price, key specs and other details

Samsung has unveiled its its all-new Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 smartphones. Samsung is pitching the foldable devices as AI-powered devices which bring a slew of new features.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 starts at Rs 1,64,999 whereas the Galaxy Z Flip6 starts at Rs 1,04,999. Pre-orders for the two devices have started and the first sale will take place on July 24.

Both the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for enhanced CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. The processor is optimised for AI processing and offers better graphics along with improved overall performance. Both devices are equipped with enhanced Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus , making this the most durable Galaxy Z series yet.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 offers a range of AI-powered features and tools that take advantage of more screen real estate. For instance, Note Assist in Samsung Notes offers translation, summaries, and auto formatting for simple and easy meeting notes. Texts in PDF files can be translated and overlaid perfectly through PDF overlay translation feature in Notes – and it even supports text in images and graphs.

Samsung has also added Composer from Samsung Keyboard, which  generates suggested text based on simple keywords for email and supported social media

The latest Google Gemini app is fully integrated on the new Galaxy Z series, providing your own AI-powered assistant.

The 7.6-inch screen on the Galaxy Z Fold6 offers a brighter display of up to 2,600nits to deliver more immersive gaming The cover screen on the Fold6 is a 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Both displays offer up to 120Hz refresh rate.

There is a triple rear camera setup on the Z Fold6. There’s a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera and there’s also a 4MP under-display camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip6, on the other hand, features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow with AI- assisted functions without even needing to open the device. The main screen offers a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

Samsung has upgraded the cameras on the Z Flip6. The flip phone now features a 50MP primary sensor along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
