Realme is reportedly gearing up to introduce a new smartphone in its mid-range flagship Neo lineup, as the company’s upcoming Realme Neo 8 has again surfaced in a leak. Moreover, a tipster has revealed the handset’s expected release timeline in China. It has now received the 3C certification from China, confirming its wired fast charging feature. Let us look at its expected key specs and tentative launch time frame.
Realme Neo 8: Expected specifications, launch timeline
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the purported Realme Neo 8 will arrive soon, and pack a massive 8,000mAh battery with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Like recent Realme phones, this device is expected to ship with Android 16-based Realme UI 7. Previously, a report had claimed that the Realme Neo 8 could feature a 6.78-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution and sport a 50MP primary rear shooter.
The handset with the model number RMX8899 has also been approved by China’s 3C authority. The listing indicates that it may ship with an 80W fast charger, and it is also categorised as a ‘5G’ digital mobile phone. Further, as per the tipster, the phone will have a metal middle frame, a glass body, and will be IP68-rated with water and dust resistance. It could also get a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, an X-axis linear motor for haptics, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Finally, DCS adds that the Realme Neo 8 is tentatively scheduled to launch next month, in January 2026. We can expect new updates regarding the smartphone in the coming days, and these could reveal even more details about its other specs and features, including its potential launch date. Moreover, it could launch globally under a different name, possibly with the Realme GT 8 moniker.
