Realme is set to launch the Realme 16 Pro series in India on January 6, and ahead of the official announcement, alleged pricing details of the upcoming smartphones have leaked online. The new lineup is expected to include two models — the Realme 16 Pro 5G and the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. This marks the return of the Pro+ variant to Realme’s number series after it was absent in the previous generation. Both smartphones are expected to be sold via Flipkart and the Realme India website.
Price in India (expected)
According to a leak shared by tipster Paras Guglani, the Realme 16 Pro 5G may start at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB + 256GB option is said to be priced at Rs 33,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant could cost Rs 36,999.
The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is tipped to be positioned higher. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to be priced at Rs 39,999. The 8GB + 256GB version may cost Rs 41,999, while the top-end 12GB + 256GB model could be priced at Rs 44,999. These figures align with earlier reports that hinted at a box price close to Rs 43,999 for the Pro+ model.
Launch and availability
Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro series will debut in India on January 6. While the company has not revealed pricing details yet, sales are expected to begin shortly after the launch event through online platforms.
Key specifications (expected)
Both models are expected to feature a 7,000mAh battery and a 200MP primary rear camera. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Realme 16 Pro 5G may use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max processor. In the Indian market, the series is likely to compete with smartphones such as the OnePlus Nord 5 and iQoo Neo 10.
