  • Device may be a rebranded Redmi A7 Pro with similar specs
  • Poco C81 Pro likely limited to 4G, not 5G connectivity

Recently, the Redmi A7 Pro has been listed on multiple certification platforms, indicating an imminent launch. However, it seems that another device with similar specifications could arrive soon, as a new certification listing suggests that the Poco C81 Pro could be unveiled soon. The purported device has been listed on Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) certification database with the same model number as the upcoming Redmi A7 Pro, indicating that the handset could launch in the coming weeks.

Poco C81 Pro: Expected certification details, specifications

As mentioned earlier, the Poco C81 Pro has been listed on Thailand’s NBTC website with the model number 25128PC17G and certification number B38077-26. According to the listing, the device supports GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks, with no noticeable 5G support mentioned. This suggests that the Poco C81 Pro may be limited to 4G connectivity. It is also mentioned to be manufactured in China.

Based on the model number and related certifications, the Poco C81 Pro could be a rebranded version of the Redmi A7 Pro, which is also tipped to launch soon. The Redmi A7 Pro has previously appeared on multiple certifications with similar model numbers. Xiaomi has followed a similar release strategy in the past, offering two devices in different markets with similar hardware and software.

If the rebranding becomes true, the Poco C81 Pro could feature a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone could be powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. In terms of optics, the phone may offer a 50MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. For the battery, the phone could get a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging. Further, it may be booted with Android 15 Go edition, which is typically optimised for entry-level hardware, focusing on providing improved performance on devices with limited processing power and RAM.
