Oppo F29 series debuts with Jio-certified 5G performance in India

Oppo has launched the F29 series in India with a focus on durable design and advanced 5G performance. In partnership with Jio, the Oppo F29 series has undergone extensive testing on the standalone 5G network, showcasing reliable performance in real-world scenarios. According to Ookla, Jio is the fastest 5G mobile network in India, and the F29 series has been optimised to take full advantage of this infrastructure.

Features

The highlight of the Oppo F29 series is the new Hunter Antenna Architecture, designed for stable signal reception. It features a 200mm fully wrapped antenna spread that covers 84.5% of the phone’s borders. This helps reduce signal drops during gaming and streaming, regardless of how the phone is held.

The phones also support 4x4 MIMO on B40, B3, and B39 bands — a first in this price segment — improving download speeds and coverage. Oppo has included its AI LinkBoost 2.0 tech with an elevator detection algorithm that adapts signal strength in real-time. A dedicated gaming antenna ensures stable connectivity even in horizontal dual-hand grip mode.

The Oppo F29 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, while the F29 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset. Both phones have passed military-grade toughness tests and come with IP69, IP68, and IP66 certifications.

The F29 packs a 6500mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and the F29 Pro includes a 6000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Reverse charging is supported on both models. The battery is tested for a 5-year lifespan and is built to work in extreme temperatures.

The Oppo F29 is priced at Rs 23,999 and Rs 25,999 for the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, respectively. The Oppo F29 Pro is available at Rs 27,999, Rs 29,999, and Rs 31,999 for the 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB variants. Both models will be sold via Flipkart, Amazon, JioMart, Reliance Digital, and offline retail stores.
