London-based consumer tech brand Nothing has announced that India will be home to its first global flagship store. The announcement was made on social media by the brand, confirming that the store will open later this year.
The company has not shared details about the location of the store yet. No city or launch date has been confirmed so far.
The announcement follows earlier hints from Nothing’s leadership. Earlier this year, Akis Evangelidis, the company’s co-founder and India head, and Carl Pei, Nothing’s co-founder and CEO, had hinted at plans for a flagship store through an exchange on X, the platform previously known as Twitter. Those posts led to speculation that the company was planning a larger physical retail presence in India.
Flagship stores are typically designed as spaces where customers can see and try products in person and learn more about a brand. For consumer tech companies, these stores often focus on hands-on product experience rather than just sales.
India has become an important market for several global technology brands in recent years. When Apple opened its first official retail stores in India, it chose New Delhi and Mumbai. Apple has since expanded its retail presence to Pune and Bengaluru.
Nothing opened its first physical retail store in London in 2022, known as Nothing Store Soho. With the upcoming store in India, the company will be opening its first flagship outlet outside the UK. Further details about the store’s location and opening timeline are expected to be shared later.
