Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection could come to Xbox

The ‘Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection : The Arcade Classics’ games are set to launch on PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). They aren’t coming to Xbox because Microsoft's gaming consoles do not support the MT Framework engine the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection games work on. But an industry insider has claimed that Microsoft and Capcom are trying to make the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection (and more Capcom games) come to the Xbox consoles.

During the Xbox Two Podcast, noted industry insider Jez Corden claimed that Microsoft is “actively” working with Capcom to add MT Framework support for Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection as well as other Capcom games so that they could be added to the Xbox platform.

As Corden said, if Xbox gets MT Framework support, it opens the way for more Capcom games to follow the path of Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection games and grace Xbox with their presence.

As of now, the website of Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: The Arcade Classics shows three platforms the game would be supported on: PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). However, Microsoft’s rumoured collaboration with Capcom could change things.

Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: The Arcade Classics

‘Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: The Arcade Classics’ games pack is set to release sometime in 2024. It contains 90’s games like X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, The Punisher and the 2000 game Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes.

Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Online Play and One-Button Specials

One of the new features added to the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection is Online Play which allows the player to play from any corner in the world. There will be casual, ranked and custom matches.

The One-Button Specials feature gives you the freedom to customise your button layout just the way you want to. However, the One-Button Special can’t be used in Ranked matches.

Adjust difficulty levels for single-player sessions

In Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection The Arcade Classics games, you can adjust the difficulty levels for single-player sessions. That should help if you are stuck on some level you just can’t go past.
