  • Apple has not disclosed the cause or timeline for full service restoration

Apple users around the world, including in India, are facing service disruptions as several of the company’s major platforms go down at the same time.

According to Apple’s System Status page, the outage began at 6:48 pm Eastern Time, which converts to 5:18 am IST. Since then, users have reported problems accessing the App Store and the iTunes Store, while Apple TV has been seeing intermittent issues.

Apple has confirmed to MacRumours that some users may be unable to access certain services or make purchases. The Apple TV Channels feature is also affected, meaning users may have trouble streaming subscribed content or loading channels within the Apple TV app.

In an update posted at 8:15 pm ET, which is 6:45 am IST, Apple said the outage had widened further. Additional services now experiencing issues include iWork for iCloud, Xcode Cloud, and Apple Maps Traffic. This suggests the problem is not limited to just entertainment or app downloads, but is impacting productivity tools and developer services as well.

For users in India waking up to the issue, this could mean difficulty downloading or updating apps, problems with Apple TV streaming, and limited access to iCloud-based documents created using Pages, Numbers, or Keynote. Developers relying on Xcode Cloud may also see delays in builds and testing workflows.

Apple has not yet shared details on what caused the outage or how long it is expected to last. The company typically restores services quietly once the issue is resolved, updating its System Status page along the way rather than issuing a formal statement.

For now, Apple says the problems are intermittent, which means some users may be able to access services while others continue to see errors. Users are advised to wait and try again later.

We’ll update this story once Apple confirms that all affected services are fully back online.
