At CES 2026, beauty giant L’Oréal brought a fresh batch of technology that could change how people think about skincare and hair styling at home. The company revealed three new devices: the Light Straight + Multi-styler, the LED Face Mask, and the LED Eye Mask.
L’Oréal has a history of blending beauty and technology, and this year’s CES lineup shows it is still pushing boundaries. While the names of the products may sound simple, the ideas behind them are quite advanced.
One of the most talked-about items is the LED Eye Mask. Unlike many other LED masks that are firm and bulky, this one looks very flexible and thin, almost like a piece of soft wearable tech. Pictures shared by the company show that the mask can glow bright red when the lights are turned on. In some photos, the mask even sits in a small carrying case and looks as compact as a pair of wireless earbuds.
According to L’Oréal, this new eye mask is an ultra-thin, flexible silicone device that is still in prototype form. It was developed with a company called iSmart and is designed to deliver light directly to the skin in 10-minute sessions. The mask uses two kinds of light — red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm) — which are controlled by a tiny built-in circuit inside the transparent mask. L’Oréal says this precision setup could help improve the effectiveness of the treatment.
While the LED Face Mask and LED Eye Mask won’t be available until 2027, the company says they will be premium products, priced below the most expensive masks already on the market.
Another part of L’Oréal’s show is the Light Straight + Multi-styler, a hair styling tool that uses infrared light to create heat instead of relying solely on traditional high temperatures. Ordinary flat irons often reach temperatures above 400 degrees Fahrenheit, which can damage hair. L’Oréal says its device keeps the temperature under 320 degrees Fahrenheit while still styling hair effectively. The company claims it works faster and leaves hair smoother than other premium hair stylers, though independent testing will be needed to confirm these results.
L’Oréal also plans a special serum to be used with the LED masks. This serum is intended to keep skin hydrated during the treatment and may improve the benefits of the light therapy.
Overall, L’Oréal’s CES 2026 products show how far beauty tech has come. With flexible wearable masks and smarter styling tools, the focus is on blending science with everyday routines. While pricing and exact details are not yet available, these products give a clear picture of where beauty technology is heading in the next few years.
