Infosys has rolled out performance-linked bonuses for the September quarter, with employees receiving an average payout of 75% of their eligible amount. The distribution, confirmed through internal communication and employee inputs, shows a slight dip compared to the 80% average bonus disbursed in the April–June quarter.
According to employees at job level 4, those rated ‘outstanding’ have received the highest payout of 83%, while ‘commendable’ performers have been allocated 78.5%. Employees who ‘met expectations’ have been granted 75%.
Payouts decline slightly across lower job levels, but the overall distribution still falls between 70.5% and 83%, depending on individual ratings and roles.
Infosys has extended the quarterly bonus to employees across job levels 4, 5, and 6, covering roles such as:
Software engineers
Team leaders
Senior managers
These roles account for a major segment of the company’s 323,000-strong workforce. Employees assessed under categories including ‘outstanding’, ‘commendable’, ‘met expectations’, and even ‘non-applicable’ remain eligible for payouts this cycle.
Some employees mentioned that their bonus amount this time is 5–7% lower than what they received in the April–June period. In that cycle, individual payouts ranged between 75% and 89%, resulting in a higher overall average.
As per the company’s internal email, the bonus for the September quarter will be added to November salaries, with delivery managers receiving allocation details to distribute within their respective teams based on performance assessments.
The communication also expressed appreciation for employee contributions, stating:
“Thank you for being an integral part of the Infosys journey.”
Infosys has not issued an official public statement regarding the payout but has completed the rollout internally.
