At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, HP Inc. announced updates across its consumer PC portfolio, introducing new OmniBook laptops, OmniStudio all-in-one desktops, and refreshed Chromebooks. The company said the launches are aimed at users who split their time between work, learning, and personal use, with a stronger focus on on-device AI performance and Windows 11 experiences.
Key launches announced
The headline product is the HP OmniBook Ultra 14, positioned at the top of the refreshed OmniBook range. HP also expanded its all-in-one lineup with the OmniStudio X 27 and updated several OmniBook series, including OmniBook X, 7, 5, and 3. Alongside Windows PCs, HP refreshed its Chromebook Plus and standard Chromebook models, targeting students and everyday users.
According to the company, the entire OmniBook portfolio now supports a wider range of processors from Qualcomm, Intel, and AMD, giving buyers multiple configuration options across screen sizes and price points.
AI features and performance focus
HP highlighted on-device AI as a core theme of its CES 2026 announcements. The OmniBook Ultra 14 is offered with an HP-exclusive Snapdragon X2 Elite variant delivering up to 85 TOPS of NPU performance, alongside Intel Core Ultra processor options. HP said this allows concurrent AI workloads such as content creation, automation tasks, and improved Windows search.
The OmniStudio X 27 all-in-one is powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, with optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics. It also introduces features like Thunderbolt Share for connecting a laptop and AIO with a single cable, and a Surface View camera mode for desk-level sharing during video calls.
Across its Windows 11 consumer PCs, HP is also rolling out software features such as HP Omni+ for password management and HP TV+ as a built-in entertainment hub.
Chromebook updates
HP refreshed its Chromebook Plus x360 14 and Chromebook Plus 14 with 2K displays, updated cameras, and support for Google AI tools. Standard Chromebook models, including the Chromebook x360 14 and Chromebook 14, focus on durability, battery life, and Android integration.
Price and availability
HP said the OmniBook Ultra 14 will be available on HP.com from January 2026, starting at $1,549.99. The OmniStudio X 27 will open for pre-orders this week, starting at $1,499.99, while other OmniBook and Chromebook models will roll out through February and Spring 2026, with pricing varying by configuration.
