Honor has introduced the Magic V Flip 2 in China as the successor to its first clamshell foldable. The new model brings a larger battery, upgraded camera setup, and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The foldable device features a dual-display design with a large inner screen and a compact outer cover display.
PriceThe Honor Magic V Flip 2 starts at CNY 5,499 (around Rs. 66,900) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The 12GB + 512GB version is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 73,000), while the 12GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 6,499 (around Rs. 79,100). The top-end 16GB + 1TB option comes in at CNY 7,499 (approximately Rs. 91,300). The phone is available for preorder through the Honor e-store and other retailers in shades of Dawn Purple, Dream Weaver Blue, Moon Shadow White, and Titanium Air Grey. Sales begin on August 28 in China.
FeaturesThe Magic V Flip 2 sports a 6.82-inch Full-HD+ LTPO OLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,320Hz PWM dimming, and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. On the outside, it carries a 4-inch LTPO OLED cover screen offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,600 nits brightness.
Under the hood, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It comes with MagicOS 9.0.1 based on Android 15.
For optics, the phone features a 200-megapixel main outward-facing camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. A 50-megapixel selfie camera is located inside the fold. Both rear and front cameras support 4K video capture.
The foldable houses a 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance, alongside a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
