Google Workspace was introduced in 2020 by Google and is an excellent communication tool for remote organizations especially to maintain online workflows. It has plenty of team-oriented features and even provides chat and video conferencing to connect with all employees or co-workers in an organization.
However, with so much interconnection of messages or files to send to all the users of a Google Workspace group, there can be times when you can mistakenly send a folder or a document to the wrong employee or co-worker. To solve this problem, Google has introduced a new way to contact others who have collaborated on a Google Workspace file, making it less likely to share a file with the wrong person.
In a new Google Workspace Updates blog post last week, the tech giant introduced a new email icon next to the ‘People with Access’ header, where they can select the email recipients and add a custom message. This ensures that the recipient or the receiver can be notified when they’ve been added to view, comment on, or edit a file they have received from you.
The new email icon also allows the sender to write a custom message to the receiver. It also includes adding new Gemini AI tools such as ‘Help me Write’ or ‘Polish’ to help users draft and write emails. Subscribed Google Workspace users can also use these tools in the side panel of Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
All these features are available now for Google Workspace customers and Google Workspace Individual subscribers.
