Japanese game developer and publisher Bandai Namco recently announced a new Dragon Ball game project titled “AGE 1000”. The new Dragon Ball game is scheduled to launch in 2027. Platforms are yet to be confirmed.
The AGE 1000 project will introduce a new game world and also a new character designed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. More unique characters will be joining this new Dragon Ball world later. The newly announced Dragon Ball game has been in development for six to seven years.
Bandai Namco plans to reveal more information about AGE 1000 during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, to be held from April 18 to 19, in Los Angeles, California. The Dragon Ball New Game Project “AGE 1000” also got an announcement teaser trailer.
Modern Dragon Ball Z games for PC and console include Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Dragon Ball: The Breakers and Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. There have been mobile titles too, like Dragon Ball Tap Battle, Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, Dragon Ball: Awakening, Dragon Ball Legends, etc.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO: New Mission 100 mode and the upcoming DLC
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO recently got the “Mission 100” mode. Another free update called “Survival Mode” will arrive in Spring 2026. The Mission 100” is a single-player game mode that allows players to use their favourite characters to challenge and clear different missions.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is also getting a “massive” DLC this summer, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft confirmed. According to developer Spike Chunsoft, the upcoming DLC content is “packed” with new playable characters, character costumes, a new game mode, moves, stages, and more!
The content pack includes Super Android 17, Super Saiyan Bardock and King Piccolo; it comes with battle customisation content that unlocks new super attacks for Goku and Vegeta.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 players should note that the release window for both the upcoming DLC and the free update on Nintendo systems will differ from that on other platforms.
