Apple finally launched its iPhone 16 series earlier this month, and the series consists of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Like previous year launches, Apple typically didn’t disclose the battery capacities of the iPhone 16 series smartphones.
However, in a new report by Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency or Anatel via Blog do iPhone, the exact battery specifications for the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max have now been revealed.
If we talk about the iPhone 16, it is equipped with a 3,561mAh battery, marking a 6.3% increase over the iPhone 15. Next, the iPhone 16 Plus has a 4,674mAh battery, which marks a 6.6% jump compared to its predecessor.
The Pro models also have beefier batteries compared to their predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro has a 9.4% increase and has a 3,582mAh battery. This makes it the biggest gainer in the lineup. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, packs a 4,685mAh battery, which is 5.5% higher than the previous generation. It also comes with the biggest battery pack ever seen on any iPhone.
With these increased battery capacities and the A18 and A18 Pro’s improved thermal efficiencies, we can expect the Apple iPhone 16 series to deliver stellar battery life. Apple has also confirmed that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus offer an additional two hours of video playback, in comparison to the base iPhone 15 models.
Similarly, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are claimed to deliver an additional four hours of video playback compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
