Apple has expanded its physical retail presence in India with the opening of Apple Borivali in Mumbai on Thursday. Located at Sky City Mall, the new outlet becomes the company’s sixth store in the country and its second in Mumbai.

The new store marks another milestone in Apple’s retail expansion strategy, which began in 2023 with the opening of Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi. Since then, the company has added stores in Bengaluru, Pune and Noida, steadily widening its footprint.

A second Mumbai store

Apple Borivali is positioned to serve customers across Mumbai, particularly in the city’s northern growth corridors. Located inside Sky City Mall, the store will offer Apple’s full range of products and services in a setting designed to encourage community engagement and creativity.

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People, said the company is inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm of Indian customers and is excited to deepen its connection with the community.

The store will feature more than 70 team members providing personalised assistance, from helping customers switch to iOS to setting up new devices or exploring Mac and iPad workflows.

Full product lineup and retail services

Customers visiting Apple Borivali will be able to explore the latest Apple lineup, including the iPhone 17 family, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and iPad and Mac models powered by the M5 chip.

Retail services such as Apple Trade In, flexible financing, data transfer support and Personal Setup will be available. Apple Pickup will allow customers who order online to collect their devices in-store at a scheduled time.

Dedicated Business Team members will also assist organisations with device management and tailored solutions aimed at scaling operations.

Like all Apple facilities globally, Apple Borivali runs on 100 percent renewable energy and is carbon neutral.

Today at Apple sessions

The store will host free Today at Apple sessions starting from opening day. These daily sessions will cover topics such as getting started with Mac, improving iPhone photography, understanding Apple Intelligence features and introductory coding for children.

Customers can register for sessions online and participate in hands-on workshops led by Apple Creatives.

Strengthening India strategy

Apple Borivali follows the launch of Apple BKC in Mumbai, Apple Saket in Delhi, Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru, Apple Koregaon Park in Pune and Apple Noida. Together with the Apple Store app and Apple’s online store, the new location reinforces Apple’s omnichannel retail strategy in India.

With India emerging as a key market for both sales and manufacturing, the Borivali opening signals that Apple’s India journey is moving beyond experimentation into sustained expansion.
