Anthropic has expanded its enterprise offering by bundling Claude Code into Claude for Enterprise. The coding tool, which was previously limited to individual accounts, will now be available to organisations as part of a broader subscription. This move unlocks advanced admin tools, flexible integrations, and more control for businesses.
“This is the most requested feature from our business team and enterprise customers,” Anthropic product lead Scott White told TechCrunch.
By adding enterprise support, Anthropic aims to strengthen its position against rivals such as Google and GitHub, whose command-line tools launched with enterprise-grade integrations from the outset.
Claude Code, launched in June, has quickly risen as one of the most popular command-line programming tools. It takes a more agentic approach than traditional IDEs, but demand from individual users led to frustrations with usage limits. The enterprise plan addresses this with scalable spending controls that can handle heavy workloads.
Anthropic also sees strong potential in combining Claude Code with its Claude.ai chatbot. Enterprises can now create workflows where Claude Code prompts work alongside Claude.ai, or connect the tool directly with internal data systems. White highlighted use cases where Claude analysed large volumes of customer feedback and translated them into actionable product improvements.
“There’s something magical about blending customer feedback, getting the voice of your customer and then helping to think about solutions that you might be able to prototype and build that address their unique challenges,” he said.
