Shaheen Shah Afridi had a tough pill to swallow in his Big Bash League (BBL) debut on Monday. Playing for Brisbane Heat, the Pakistan pacer was booted from the attack by the umpire after he bowled two beamers in the same over.
Afridi bowled a total of 2.4 overs before being disallowed to continue further. He failed to pick a single wicket and leaked 43 runs at an economy of 16.12.

The incident took place in the 18th over of the Melbourne Renegades innings, which was Afridi's third in the contest. He started the over with a juicy full toss, which got the treatment it deserved. Oliver Peake dispatched the ball over the deep midwicket fence.
The second delivery was also a full toss but it was low one, which indicated that Afridi was attempting yorkers in the death overs.

He maintained the same strategy while bowling the third but lost complete control and ended up bowling a beamer that Tim Seifert knocked it towards long-on to reach his century. Bowling the third ball again as it was called no, Afridi bowled another full toss this time outside the off stump line.
The Pakistan quick then bowled another waist height no ball, which even the wicketkeeper failed to stop, and he was subsequently taken off the attack.
The remaining two balls of the over were then bowled by Nathan McSweeney.
Renegades, who were asked to bat first, piled a massive 212/5 in 20 overs.
Babar Azam, Pakistan's premier batter, too endured a disastrous start to his maiden appearance in the BBL on Sunday. The Pakistan premier batter, who plays for Sydney Sixers, was packed for 2 off 5 by Australian rookie Brody Couch in the match against Perth Scorchers at the Optus Stadium.
