Following the conclusion of the exciting 5-match Test series between England and India on Monday, August 4, focus has shifted to the game's shortest format. India will play their first Twenty20 International (T20I) match since February 2025 at the Asia Cup 2025, which begins in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 9.

The Asia Cup will serve as the start of India's journey to the 2026 T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in February in India and Sri Lanka. The Indian team management has a great chance to begin assembling a core group. India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman are all in Group A. On September 10, they will play their first match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
