ICC Champions Trophy 2025 prize money details: Rohit Sharma-led India have won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by defeating New Zealand in the final by 4 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Men in Blue displayed a dominant performance throughout the tournament remaining unbeaten. In the final, India showcased an all-round performance winning the contest by 4 wickets with six balls to spare in their chase of 252. India have got the trophy and a cash prize of $2.24 million (approximately Rs 19.45 crore).

Coming to the runners-up of the tournament, New Zealand will get $1.2 million (approximately Rs 9.72 crore). The semi-finalists who didn't advance, Australia and South Africa, will each receive $560,000 (Rs 4.86 crore). Meanwhile, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, securing fifth and sixth place respectively, will be awarded $350,000 (Rs 3.04 crore) each. Pakistan and England, finishing in seventh and eighth place, will take home $140,000 (Rs 1.21 crore) each.

Each victory in the group stage carries a reward of approximately $34,000 (Rs 29.5 lakh). Additionally, every participating team is guaranteed a minimum payout of $125,000 (Rs 1.08 crore).

The total prize pool for the 2025 Champions Trophy stands at $6.9 million (Rs 59.9 crore), marking a significant 53% increase from the tournament’s 2017 edition.

CT edition to forget for hosts Pakistan

Hosts Pakistan entered the tournament as defending champions but failed to make a mark in this edition of the Champions Trophy. The Mohammad Rizwan-led first went down by 60 runs against New Zealand in the inaugural match of the tournament at the National Stadium on February 19 followed by a six-wicket defeat against arch-rivals India.

ICC recently announced their Champions Trophy 2025 team of the tournament and no Pakistan player could make the cut. The list of 11 players was dominated by Indians with Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Varun Chakaravarthy, Mohammed Shami and KL Rahul included. The list also had 4 Kiwis' player - Mitchell Santner, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry who missed out on the final due to a shoulder injury.
