SpaceX will launch the Starship 11 Flights demonstrating a major advancement in commercial space exploration. The company became the first one to achieve the test launch of the full-scale model of its next generation spaceship Starship. The aim of this space mission is to bring humans to the Moon and Mars in the future.

What is happening?

The forthcoming test will challenge both phases of the Starship system. The Super Heavy booster will then conduct a multi-part landing burn sequence with all 13 Raptor engines, completing the test with a splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Starship upper stage will perform a number of orbital manoeuvres, deploy some dummy payloads representative of Starlink satellites and attempt a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean.

Engineers will be monitoring the performance of re-entry tiles closely, as some re-entry tiles have been removed for the purposes of testing some more vulnerable heat-shielding sections during a searing thermal load.

When and where?

It is scheduled to launch on Monday, 13 October 2025, out of SpaceX space station facility, Starbase, in the city of Boca contrast Chicas, Texas.

SpaceX was established by Elon Musk, and it still is systematically testing the Starship-Super-Heavy regimen. This rocket is the strongest rocket that the world has ever seen.

It is capable of putting in excess of 150 tonnes into orbit. Flight 11 is the continuation of the successful Flight 10, and the propulsion control, aerodynamic stability and onboard guidance software improvements take place.

How to Watch It?

People across the world who are enthusiasts of space can watch the event directly. SpaceX also will broadcast the launch on its formal X (previously Twitter) feed, YouTube channel and on its site.

The coverage will begin around 30 minutes before takeoff at 6:45 p.m. EDT (2245 GMT), if SpaceX continues to target the beginning of the launch window on Monday. SpaceX plans to launch the 11th test flight of its Starship mega rocket at 7:15 p.m. EDT (2315 GMT).

SpaceX has two official backup days for Flight 11 at this point. According to a beach and road closure notice issued by Texas' Cameron County the backup days for the launch are on Tuesday (Oct. 14) and Wednesday (Oct. 15).
