Mysuru Dasara 2025: The grandeur of Mysuru Dasara 2025 reached new heights when a spectacular drone show at Torchlight Parade Ground in Bannimantap created history. On September 28, an artwork of a tiger formed by 2,983 drones lit up the night sky, winning the festival an official entry into the Guinness World Records. The breathtaking display not only captivated thousands of spectators but also showcased the perfect blend of technology, tradition, and creativity.

Record-Breaking Drone Show at Mysuru Dasara

The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) organized the show as part of the Dasara celebrations. According to Managing Director Munigopal Raju, the team had initially planned to use 1,500 drones, as in 2024. However, the number was raised to 3,000 this year, opening an opportunity to set a Guinness record by forming the national animal, the tiger.

To validate the achievement, CESC invited a certification team from London, with aeronautical engineers, auditors, and legal experts overseeing the process. This meticulous effort ensured the feat was recognized globally.

Artworks That Lit Up the Sky

While the tiger formation stood out as the record-setting moment, the drone show offered much more. The night sky turned into a canvas of dazzling images, including:

  • Goddess Chamundeshwari
  • Lord Krishna dancing on a serpent
  • The solar system
  • Indian soldier and Mother Cauvery
  • World map and Karnataka map with five guarantee schemes
  • Peacock, dolphin, eagle, and Ambari elephant

With only 10–12 images possible due to drone power limitations, the selection was made with utmost care to reflect Karnataka’s cultural pride and national identity.

Teamwork Behind the Record

Mr. Raju credited the success to around 200 CESC staff members and nearly 100 employees from a private company, who worked tirelessly to conduct the show. From planning to execution, teamwork ensured a seamless and memorable experience.

The show was part of the trial demonstrations on September 28 and 29, ahead of the main events scheduled for October 1 and 2. Adding to the celebrations, playback singer Kunal Ganjawala and his team entertained the audience with a musical performance before the drones took flight.

Mysuru Dasara 2025

With the Guinness World Record now added to its glory, Mysuru Dasara 2025 has set a new benchmark in festive celebrations. The combination of traditional cultural spirit and modern drone technology has made the festival unforgettable, further strengthening Mysuru’s image as the cultural capital of Karnataka.
