US-based Indian lifestyle content creator Shivee Chauhan recently shared her annual income from brand partnerships in 2025. Currently living in San Francisco, Chauhan offered a look into the financial side of content creation by posting a detailed month-by-month income breakdown on Instagram.
In the caption of the post, she wrote, “How much I made as a lifestyle content creator in 2025. These are brand partnerships totals only and do not include digital sales.”
In the video, Chauhan listed her earnings for each month of 2025 in Indian rupees. According to the breakdown, she earned Rs 3.8 lakh in January, followed by a sharp drop to Rs 20,000 in February. Her income then rose significantly in March to Rs 5 lakh, before slightly decreasing to Rs 3.8 lakh in April.
In May, her earnings increased again to Rs 5.26 lakh, while June saw her earn Rs 2.6 lakh. During July, Chauhan made Rs 3.3 lakh, and in August, her income once again touched Rs 5 lakh. Her earnings in September were Rs 1.8 lakh, and in October, Rs 2.1 lakh. Towards the end of the year, she reported earning Rs 3.7 lakh in November and Rs 3.5 lakh in December.
When combined, her total earnings from brand partnerships in 2025 came to approximately Rs 40 lakh. Chauhan also clarified that these figures represent only income from collaborations with brands and do not reflect her full earnings as a creator.

Along with appreciation, the post also raised several questions. One user asked, “How did you reach out or approach brands?” Responding to this, Chauhan explained, “I focused on creating content, and generally brands reach out to me via my email in the bio.”
Since Chauhan is based in the US, several users questioned why her earnings were listed in Indian rupees instead of US dollars. Addressing this, she explained that she works with both Indian and international brands. She responded, “I take up brand deals both in USD and INR, I have converted to one currency to make it easier to digest. You can assume the breakup to be 50-50.”
Another major topic of discussion in the comments was related to visa and work restrictions in the United States. Many users pointed out that certain US visas do not allow individuals to monetise content or earn through self-employment. One user asked, “How can you earn in USA as content creator given visa restrictions?” Chauhan replied, “That’s right, we can’t monetize on H1B, L1, or F1. I am a US permanent resident.”
While the Rs 40 lakh figure impressed many viewers, Chauhan also reminded her audience that this success came after years of effort. In one of her replies, she shared insight into her long-term journey as a content creator. She wrote, “I have been a content creator for 5 years. 2023-2024 were both about 25 lakhs.”
