Google opened an office in Pune’s Koregaon Park Annexe as the search giant considers India to be a strategic location for Google Cloud to invest in cloud infrastructure. The space has teams that help build advanced enterprise cloud technology in collaboration with global engineering teams, provide real-time technical advice, and deliver product and implementation expertise.
Now, Google offices are known for their swanky architecture, delectable free food from around the world and giving employees a space where work feels like a breeze. So, when a software engineer, Arsh Goyal, gave a tour of the office on Instagram, the video obviously went viral.
Goyal showed social media around the new Pune office which featured quirky and colourful decor, a huge variety of food to choose from, a game room and a recreation room as well.
Goyal was seen playing carom, chilling on colourful bean-bag chairs in the office, resting on a massage chair, enjoying a game of table-tennis and making coffee for himself. He also showed the well-stocked cafeteria and the calming yet tasteful decor of the entire space.
“Software engineer’s day at newly started Google, Pune office,” read the caption of the post.
Since being shared on Instagram, the video has amassed over five lakh views and hundreds of comments from netizens.
“Manifesting myself there soon,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “My dream office.”
“Loved every part of the office. It is just so beautiful,” a third user remarked. “Fantastic. This is such a dream come true,” a fourth user added.
Last year, Aaddyashree Kunchal, a Senior Solutions Consultant at Google in Boulder, Colorado, visited the company’s Gurgaon office. She also gave a tour of the workspace that boasted of nap rooms, a spa, an entertainment room with musical instruments, comfy couches and a pool table.
