The government has announced the nominees for the National Creators Award 2024. These awards aim to recognise the contribution of digital content creators that drive positive social change and innovation. Over 200 content creators have been nominated across 22 categories in the in inaugural edition of the awards.
The awards were announced last month through the government’s citizen engagement platform, MyGov. Citizens could nominate their favourite content creators in over 20 categories till February 21. Content creators could also nominate themselves.
Prime Minister Modi had said that the National Creators Award would honour the talent of youngsters and highlight how they are driving innovation and igniting change. “Social media has helped a lot in showcasing people’s skills and talents. Youngsters in India are doing wonders in the field of content creation. To honour their talent, the National Creators Award has been initiated,” he posted on X last month.
The National Creators Award will be conferred in over 20 categories, including Best Storyteller Award, Best Creator of Social Change Award, Best Creator in The Food Category, Tech Creator Award, Heritage Fashion Icon Award, Most Creative Creator and several more.
There is also a category for International Creator Award, honouring the global content creators who augment India’s culture and soft power. This category includes several international creators like Ricky Pond, Kili Paul and The Quick Style dance crew.

The Most Creative Creator (Female) category has a stellar lineup of content creators like RJ Karishma, Dharna Durga, Shraddha and Niharika NM.
Best Creator in Food Category again saw several well-known YouTubers like Nisha Madhulika and Kabita’s Kitchen make the cut.
The Tech Creator Award nominees included Rajiv Makhni, Gaurav Chaudhary, Tamil Selvam and others.
