As leaders from across party lines expressed grief over his sudden death, a video of NCP MLA Dhananjay Munde reacting emotionally to the news went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar’s last rites were performed with full state honours at the Vidya Pratishthan ground in Baramati. A large number of supporters, party workers and members of the public gathered to pay their respects.

Several senior leaders attended the funeral, reflecting the scale of the loss. Those present included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and more.
