The photographs shared by the ambassador offered a detailed look at the meal he ordered. Japan’s Ambassador to India, Ono Keiichi, has once again drawn attention on social media after sharing details of a food stop during his visit to Bengaluru, where he dined at Pizza 4P’s, a restaurant with Japanese origins. Posting photographs from the visit on X, the diplomat described the experience as his best pizza meal in India to date.

In his post, Ono shared images showing him seated inside the Bengaluru outlet of Pizza 4P’s, a restaurant brand established by Japanese entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since its founding, the chain has expanded to several locations across Asia, including Japan and India. The Bengaluru branch is particularly known for its emphasis on farm-sourced ingredients, in-house cheese production, and pizzas that blend Italian techniques with subtle Japanese influences.

Alongside the photographs, Ono wrote on X: “Dropped by Pizza 4P’s in Bengaluru. Founded by Japanese entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City, now loved across Asia, with branches in Japan and here in India too. Easily the best pizza I’ve had in India so far!”

The post quickly attracted reactions from social media users, many of whom welcomed the ambassador’s appreciation of Bengaluru’s dining culture. Among those who responded was Tejasvi Surya, the Member of Parliament from Bengaluru South. Responding publicly on X, Surya wrote: “Glad you enjoyed the pizza, Ambassador. Undoubtedly, they are the best. I am addicted to their pizzas.” He also described the restaurant as a reflection of growing cultural ties between Japan and Bengaluru and wished the ambassador well during his stay in the city.

Other users joined the conversation by sharing their own experiences at the restaurant. Several commented on the difficulty of securing reservations, pointing to the outlet’s popularity. Some users described the moment as representative of Bengaluru’s evolving food scene, while others added light-hearted comparisons with pizza offerings in other Indian cities.

Ono’s visit to the Bengaluru restaurant is part of a broader pattern of food-related posts he has shared during his tenure in India. Previously, he had posted about eating vada pav in Mumbai and sampling biryaniat Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi. In that earlier post, he drew a comparison between biryani and sushi and mentioned eating the dish by hand, saying the experience helped him feel more connected to his Indian friends.
