Chennai-based sports commentator Pradeep Muthu shared his experience on X along with photos of the 'window' seat.

An IndiGo Flyer's hilarious post on getting to sit next to a "wall" despite paying extra for a window seat is viral on X. Chennai-based sports commentator Pradeep Muthu shared his experience with a selfie on the flight.

“Dei @IndiGo6E I paid for a window seat da.. where is the window #TravelParithabangal," he wrote. The post has received close to nine lakh views and prompted a response from the airline. An IndiGo customer support executive reached out to Pardeep and requested for his flight details to look into the matter.

The post received equally humourous responses from other users on X.

"That cost was for only for window 'seat'. 'Window' itself costs extra," commented Shantanu Goel (@shantanugoel). "IndiGo upgraded you to the 'imagination class' - where the window view is up to you," added Missed_Thrills (@Missed_Thrills).

A few users opined that IndiGo was getting inspired by Ryanair -- an ultra-low-cost airline group headquartered in Dublin, Ireland -- after it went viral last year for having given its flyer a window seat without the window.

“Finally happened to us, we booked a window seat with no window. Such an incredible experience. Thanks, Ryanair,” the flyer shared on X along with a picture of a man on the "window seat". The airline reshared the post and joked: “Staring at it won’t change it”.

The airline's comeback left users divided with some being highly impressed with their comeback and others pointing out that being smart and sassy won't hide the fact that they've done a disservice to the flyer.

Later, IndiGo responded to the post, saying that the airline got in touch with Muthu and noted his feedback.

"Mr Muthu, we understand that a window view makes the journey special. Glad we could connect to discuss your travel experience. Feedback noted and vibes remain intact. See you onboard again soon! ~ Team IndiGo," it said.
