For Priyansh Agarwal, the biggest perk of working with Google in Bengaluru is the free cab service the tech giant offers. For the software engineer, this was a major advantage as he lives 12 km away from the workplace.
"Google provides cab service between office and home," Agarwal shared on X. "It is one of the biggest perks in Bangalore. I live 12km away from office and I never have to wait for an Uber/Ola/Rapido. It helps me save a lot of money too."
In a follow-up tweet, the IIT-Delhi alumni clarified that none of his previous employers offered this benefit. In his bio on X, Agarwal mentioned that he has previously worked with Zomato and Goldman Sachs.

GCabs refers to the vehicles Google allots for its employees. Responding to his tweet, a section of X users pointed out that several popular companies offer the cab service.
"Hundreds of companies in Bengaluru provide this facility to their employees. Accenture, Amazon, TCS, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, Wipro, Oracle, Adobe, HCL, Cisco, Dell, HP, KPMG, Microsoft, Intel, JP Morgan, just to name a few," said fellow software engineer Gaurav Upadhyay (@gaurav011235). "Almost every company does this in Gurgaon," added another user Sarthak (@sarthak_kh30). "At peak hours, there's more office cabs than any other vehicle on road."
A few other X users lamented that theirs companies don't offer a similar perk.
