As Donald Trump resuming US presidency gains attention, renewed curiosity surrounds the former president’s eating habits, often distinguished by a preference for fast food and calorie-rich meals. Known to avoid tobacco and alcohol, Trump’s diet remains high in processed, chain-restaurant foods, contrasting sharply with wellness entrepreneur Bryan Johnson’s strict, health-oriented regime.
Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager, provided insights into Trump’s typical meal choices in Let Trump Be Trump. According to Lewandowski, Trump often indulged in a dinner consisting of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake, amounting to about 2,430 calories. Occasionally, he substituted his McDonald’s order with a meal from KFC, famously opting for a bucket of fried chicken.
His breakfast, when he eats it, often includes eggs and bacon, while lunch is optional—if he does partake, he prefers a meatloaf sandwich. Trump’s primary form of exercise is golf, though doctors have reportedly advised a shift toward a more balanced diet and regular physical activity for improved heart health.
In contrast, Bryan Johnson, the CEO of Blueprint, follows a precisely managed and fully plant-based diet intended to extend longevity and optimise health. Johnson is renowned for his commitment to a highly regimented lifestyle, taking 104 supplements daily and rigorously tracking health metrics.
This structured routine has drawn attention due to Johnson’s extensive measures and considerable expenditure—reportedly up to $2 million annually—on longevity-focused practices, advanced health equipment, and a team of specialists dedicated to monitoring his physical health.
Despite the stark difference in lifestyle and diet, Trump and Johnson share one practice: intermittent fasting. Both men reportedly adhere to the pattern, with Trump often fasting between 14 to 16 hours, typically restricting his intake to a heavy dinner. His breakfast is often omitted, as is lunch, though his dinner tends to be a carbohydrate-dense fast-food selection.
Bryan Johnson similarly follows an intermittent fasting schedule, restricting his meals to a six-hour eating window daily. His dietary approach prioritises plant-based foods with minimal deviation, further supplemented by a rigorous exercise routine.

When a social media post highlighted this parallel, Johnson was quick to react. Known for advocating a science-backed approach to diet and longevity, he responded on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “I'm now questioning everything,” to the viral post documenting Trump’s regimen.
