Reddy's brothers get CBI notice

Former Karnataka minister G Karunakara Reddy and his brother G Somasekhara Reddy, MLA, have been summoned to appear before CBI in connection with an illegal mining case in Andhra Pradesh.

Former Karnataka minister G Karunakara Reddy and his brother G Somasekhara Reddy, MLA, have been summoned to appear before CBI in connection with an illegal mining case in Andhra Pradesh.

The Reddys, brothers of former minister G Janardhana Reddy, now in CBI custody, have been asked before the investigating agency in Hyderbad on September 16.

Karunakara Reddy told PTI that the CBI notice had been received by him and Somasekhara at their residence in Bellary.

Janardhana and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy who were arrested by CBI from his Bellary residence on September 5 have been denied bail by a Hyderbad court and are being interrogated.
