A Bengaluru-based techie, Sunny Gupta, recently shared his experience of using Zomato's train food delivery service. While traveling by train from Mumbai to Pune, Gupta ordered food directly to his train via the Zomato app.
Gupta documented his experience on X, formerly known as Twitter. He explained that by entering his Passenger Name Record (PNR) number on the Zomato app, he could select a station along his route as the delivery location. In his case, he chose Panvel station.
"Decided to skip ordering from the train attendant and give Zomato a try," Gupta shared on X. He ordered Triple Schezwan rice and was impressed with the convenience of the service.

"The train was running late, but my Zomato orderwas ready and waiting," he posted, adding humorously, "This is probably the first time I'm getting revenge on Zomato for making me wait."

Gupta's experience has garnered significant attention, with the post racking up close to 10 lakh views. Many users expressed their admiration for Zomato's innovative service, sharing their own experiences and tips.
"This meals on train by Zomato is really a great feature. I have ordered it many a times, better than trains and you get direct hotel-made food which you can choose. Great initiative by Zomato," wrote one user.
Another user commented, "I tried couple of times..Worked like a charm."
However, not all experiences have been positive. One user shared a less favorable experience, stating, "I ordered a medium-sized pizza last time I was on train which cost me about 460 something. Train was running late for about 2 hours. The pizza was cold and the experience was not so good."
Meanwhile, Gupta informed that he didn't receive cutlery with his order despite seeing it mentioned on the bill.
