Tech millionaire and biohacker Bryan Johnson, renowned for his audacious mission to halt the aging process, has released a hair-raising video on YouTube claiming victory over both balding and greying. With over 505,000 views, the 46-year-old tech guru showcased his three key tactics in a routine under his Project Blueprint initiative, aimed at keeping him perpetually youthful.
At the outset of the clip, Johnson declared, "Genetically, I should be bald." However, his commitment to maintaining a full head of hair is evident in his meticulous routine, shared with followers as a precautionary measure for those in their 20s facing the threat of hair thinning or shedding.
Red Light TherapyThe first pillar of Johnson's hair health regimen is Red Light Therapy. Every morning, he dons a battery-powered cap emitting red light for six minutes, citing increased blood flow and stimulated hair follicle activity. Johnson, emphasizing the cumulative benefits when combined with other treatments, considers it a vital step in his quest for locks.
Essential oilsFollowing the red light session, Johnson employs a potent topical treatment, distinguishing it from commonly known products like Rogaine and Minoxidil 5%. His concoction includes a blend of ingredients such as Caffeine, Finasteride, Minoxidil, Azelaic Acid, Diclofenac, Tea Tree Oil, Rosemary Oil, Ginko Biloba, Biotin, and Melatonin. His applies this formula twice daily.
MicroneedlingMicroneedling emerges as the third tactic in Johnson's arsenal, aimed at enhancing the effects of topicals. Despite sporadic use due to specialized platelet-rich plasma injections, Johnson attests to the efficacy of microneedling, emphasizing its role in provoking hair growth through small, skin-penetrating injuries.
Grey hair reversalJohnson divulges his strategies for reversing greying hair, a challenge he faced since his 20s. Attributing the initial signs to a tumultuous period in his life filled with stress and anxiety, he unveils two products - GR7, an anti-hair loss and anti-greying treatment applied three or four times weekly, and Mayraki, a coloured herbal extract used once weekly. Johnson's transparency extends to a microscopic examination, revealing colour production beneath the scalp.
For those overwhelmed by hair loss treatments, Johnson recommends starting with a 5% Romaine or generic Minoxidil, reassuring that his longer formulation is not a prerequisite. Johnson also teased ongoing experiments with laser treatments, promising to keep followers updated on the results.
