Nothing’s third smartphone ever – the Nothing Phone 2a, kept its date with a global launch event in India. The much-teased smartphone brings quite a few signature Nothing features to a device that lands in the highly competitive sub Rs 25K segment where smartphones like the POCO X6 compete. Nothing has opted for an aggressive price point in a bid to expand its market presence in India. Here are the highlights:
1. That familiar Nothing design: Nothing brings the same design as its first two smartphones to the sub Rs 25K segment. The Nothing Phone 2a features a transparent design and comes in black and white. You also get the iconic glyph interface. The device is powered by Android 14 and Nothing’s OS 2.5.

2. Under the hood: at the heart of the Nothing Phone 2a is a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset. The device comes in three storage options – 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and the top-end 12GB/256GB variant. Nothing has packed the 2a with a 5000 mAh battery. This massive battery supports 45W charging but there’s not charging brick bundled with the device.
3. Dual rear cam: The Nothing Phone 2a comes with a solid rear cam. The dual rear cam includes a 50MP primary cam with a f/1.88 aperture lens. The primary lens also features a 1/1.56-inch sensor size and support for optical image stabilisation. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field-of-view completes the set-up. OnePlus has opted for the same 32MP selfie cam that we first checked out on the Nothing Phone 2.

4. Bezel-less display: Nothing is playing up the thin bezels (just 2.1 mm) of the Nothing Phone 2a. The 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED display is one of the highlights of the device. It features a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display hits a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.
5. Nothing has priced the entry-level Nothing Phone 2a 8GB/128 version at Rs 23,999, the 8GB/256GB option will costs Rs 25,999 while the top-of-the-line version (12GB/256GB) costs Rs 27,999. An instant discount of Rs 2,000 on select credit cards makes it a compelling option at its asking price and one of the best-looking devices in this segment.
