Memory giant, Corsair has just announced higher capacity memory modules for Apple computers, which include notebooks and desktops. The 4GB DDR3 memory stick is priced at Rs.1,400 and will come with a lifetime warranty. You can find this module from any of Corsair’s authorized distributors and resellers.

The 4GB capacity is a single memory stick running at 1066Mhz. This seems a little slow given the fact that most PC desktop memory modules run at 1333MHz. The memory timings are 7-7-7-20 and uses 1.5V to run. These kits are tested at Apple Developer Compatibility labs and are guaranteed to work with iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, MacBook and MacBook Pro. Since the memory modules are for a Mac, there’s a slight premium involved. For the same money, you can get faster memory for regular desktop computers.
