Fujifilm India has announced the launch of the instax mini 13 instant camera in India. The new analog instant camera expands the company’s instax lineup and will be available from March 31 with an MRP of Rs 10,999.

The instax mini 13 is positioned as an entry-level instant camera that prints photos immediately after they are taken. Fujifilm has also introduced a new mini-format film called “Pastel Galaxy” alongside the camera, priced at Rs 899.

The camera builds on the instax mini 12 and introduces changes to design and shooting features.

Design and colours

The instax mini 13 features a rounded three-dimensional body with a pop-inspired design. Fujifilm says the design aims to make the camera suitable as both a photography device and a lifestyle accessory.

The camera will be available in five translucent pastel colour options: Dreamy Purple, Candy Pink, Frost Blue, Lagoon Green and Clay White.

A metallic silver instax logo is placed on the front of the camera, while the sides feature a band-style design with branding.

Features

The instax mini 13 introduces two built-in self-timers designed to expand shooting flexibility.

A 2-second self-timer allows users to take handheld selfies while reducing camera shake. A 10-second timer enables users to place the camera on a surface and capture group photos or full-body shots.

The camera also includes a camera angle adjustment accessory that allows users to tilt the device during self-timer shooting without using a tripod.

Other features include close-up mode and automatic exposure. Close-up mode enables users to take photos at short distances while maintaining accurate framing through parallax correction in the viewfinder. Automatic exposure adjusts shutter speed and flash output depending on lighting conditions.

Additional updates

Fujifilm also updated its instax UP smartphone app, which allows users to scan and digitise printed instax photos. The updated version introduces AI-assisted scanning designed to improve accuracy when capturing prints with a smartphone.

In addition to the mini 13 launch, Fujifilm has also announced a new Jet Black colour variant for the instax WIDE 400 instant camera. The new colour option will also be available starting March 31.
