The exit of founding member Satyam Nathani comes days after chief revenue officer Nishit Sharma and head of institutional debt partnerships Chandrima Dhar resigned
Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover exited the company last month after allegations of misappropriation of funds surfaced following governance audits conducted by Alvarez & Marsal and PwC.
Ashneer Grover exited BharatPe earlier in March after a long public discord with the company’s board over allegations of financial irregularities.
The move comes after BharatPe's board said in a statement that Grover is no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of the company.
Earlier in the day, BharatPe had released a statement alleging that Grover and his family "engaged in extensive misappropriation of company funds" and, as a result, he "is no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of the company".
"Extensive misappropriation of funds included creating fake vendors to siphon money and grossly abusing company expense accounts," the board said.
"I am being forced to bid adieu to a company of which I am a founder," says Ashneer Grover
Alleged corporate governance issues, infighting and mud-slinging in public do not augur well for BharatPe which is a part of the PMC Bank rescue mission.
Abhishek Manu Singhvi, lead counsel for BharatPe, "most impressed with the speed and diligence with which emergency hearings were taken up and decided in record time".
