Analysts believe Infosys will maintain its operating margin guidance of 20-22% for the financial year
During the third quarter of the 2023 fiscal year, the company added 1,627 employees, a decrease from the previous quarter. With this, Infosys' headcount stands at 3,46,845 as of December 31, 2022.
The software major reported third-quarter earnings that came ahead of consensus estimates.
The company reported an 7.7 percent on-quarter rise in consolidated revenues to Rs. 31867 crore for the reported quarter.
The net profit fell nearly 30% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis and a little over 12 percent sequentially to Rs 3,610 crore.
CNBC-TV18's managing editor Udayan Mukherjee says that even though the Nifty and the Sensex did not report huge gains today, it was nevertheless a steady session.
"It's the big day today with Infosys results coming up and we will probably get decent set of numbers backed by the present scenario of rupee," says CNBC-TV18's Udayan Mukherjee.
