In an anti-Naxalite operation on October 4, at least 30 Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces along the Dantewada-Narayanpur border in Chhattisgarh. The gunfight occurred in the Abhujmaad forest, and senior Naxal cadres are believed to be among the dead. A large cache of weapons, including an AK-47 and an SLR, was recovered.
