Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the 'News18 Rising Bharat Summit' on March 20, where he spoke on various issues including electoral bonds, CAA, BJP's electoral strategy, Uniform Civil Code and the growth of the nation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in the last ten years.

Also known as the modern-day Chanakya of Indian politics, Amit Shah participated in the Summit on the second day of the event and had interesting things to share ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections.

Here are the Home Minister's top quotes from the Summit:

>> "The more Narendra Modi is abused, the stronger blooms the lotus. PM Modi’s 10 years of government will be written in golden letters. Within ten years, India has become a more secure nation. In 10 years, India has become the fifth largest economy under Narendra Modi".

>> "CAA will not take away anyone's citizenship in the nation. It will, instead, grant citizenship. Indian Muslims need not fear the CAA".

>> "The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is taking actions against corruption and black money, after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. The INDIA alliance is involved in corruption worth Rs 12 lakh crore. The INDIA Bloc won’t be able to show its face when their list of donors are revealed".

>> "Mamata Banerjee has been exposed in front of the people of the state with the Sandeshkhali incident. Being a woman, she should be ashamed of the incidents that have unfolded. We want the women of Bengal to show the power of Shakti to Mamata Banerjee. The people of Bengal are questioning Banerjee after her corrupt ways have been exposed. We will get more than 25 seats in West Bengal. BJP will emerge as the single largest party in the state".

Furthermore, Shah also welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court asking State Bank of India (SBI) to submit all the details of electoral bonds. However, he added, that this may bring back black money into election funding.

"Earlier, donations were made in cash. However, with bonds, every amount was credited in bank accounts and there was accountability. In 2014, 81 per cent of our donations were in cash. Later, we attempted to make donations transparent. This is why the INDI alliance led by Rahul Gandhi had opposed electoral bonds," he added.

Shah also refuted allegations against the BJP that the party was against caste census. Proving his point, Shah said that 27 ministers in the Union Council of Ministers belong to the Other Backward Classes and PM Modi is also from the OBC community.
