Retired Army official KJS Dhillon says Red Fort attack similar to Pulwama: 'Bears clear signature of Jaish-e-Mohammad'

Pakistan’s deep state has only one agenda — to spread terror in India, and Jaish remains a product and asset of that system, says KJS Dhillon.

Lt Gen KJS Dhillon (retd) called the Red Fort attack “a clear signature of Jaish-e-Mohammad with suspected backing from the ISI–Pak deep state".

In an interview with ANI, Dhillon said the pattern of the attack is strikingly similar to Pulwama. He also pointed to a “ticking time bomb” that India must address with full seriousness.

“Pakistan’s deep state has only one agenda — to spread terror in India, and Jaish remains a product and asset of that system,” he said.

According  to him, 20 detonators, and 24 remote control units had the capability to detonate 20 separate bombs weighing 150 kg each. "They could have been detonated simultaneously at nearby places or even pan-India... You can imagine the amount of catastrophic impact it could have had in population centres. It is a great action by the security forces, J&K police and intelligence agencies..." he told ANI.

He said every civilian is a soldier without a uniform and must be alert. "Before giving your property on rent, verify with police and inform police if you suspect anyone around you," said Dhillon.

Dhillon said  the terror modules are using certain apps on the internet which cannot be intercepted as the legal agencies cannot ask for the transcripts. "Government should be very harsh with the owners of such apps... If they want their apps to work in India, the government must have the handle to ask for any details of any person using the app for whatsoever reason. If they do not oblige, they should be banned because the security and dignity of the nation comes first..." he said.

Fifteen people were killed and many others injured after a car driven by a doctor at Al-Falah University exploded near the Red Fort Metro station.
