The Rajasthan government has partnered with Sahaj Retail, an initiative of the Kanoria Foundation, to expand the range of digital services offered through the state’s e-Mitra network.
The collaboration has been formalised through RajCOMP Info Services Ltd. (RISL), the state’s nodal agency for e-governance. Under the arrangement, Sahaj’s business-to-citizen (B2C) services will be integrated into more than 73,000 e-Mitra centres operating across Rajasthan.
e-Mitra serves as the state government’s unified digital service delivery platform, providing access to a range of government services through physical centres, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. These centres act as a key interface for citizens to access services such as utility bill payments, certificates, licences and social welfare schemes.
As part of the partnership, Sahaj will onboard e-Mitra centres in the Jaipur and Ajmer divisions, covering 13 districts. The integration is expected to widen the range of services available to citizens and improve access in both urban and rural regions.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the state’s digital governance framework by improving service availability, easing access and reducing delays in service delivery. The expansion is also expected to provide additional earning opportunities for e-Mitra operators and local entrepreneurs by enabling them to offer a broader set of digital services.
The partnership aligns with the Rajasthan government’s ongoing efforts to enhance last-mile digital service delivery and deepen the reach of e-governance initiatives, especially in underserved and remote areas of the state.
