IndiGo has announced schedule revisions across its long-haul network, including suspension of Copenhagen services and a reduction in flights to Manchester, as the airline looks to stabilise operations amid mounting external constraints.

In a statement, IndiGo said its wide-body operations have recently been impacted by factors such as changing airspace restrictions due to geopolitical situations and congestion at airports in India and overseas.

These issues have increased flight and block times and put pressure on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 schedule, which currently runs with six wide-body aircraft.

To prevent passenger inconvenience caused by missed connections and cascading delays, the carrier said it is taking immediate corrective measures to improve on-time performance and overall operational reliability.

As part of the changes, IndiGo will suspend flights to and from Copenhagen starting February 17 until further notice.

The airline will also scale down its Delhi–Manchester services from five flights a week to four beginning February 7, and further reduce them to three weekly flights from February 19.

This will bring total connectivity on the Manchester route down from nine weekly services to seven.

The airline noted that the Manchester scale-down had originally been planned for the Summer Schedule 2026 but has been advanced to safeguard the rest of its long-haul network.

IndiGo also said days of operation on certain routes will be adjusted to allow better recovery time in operating patterns and ensure smoother service for customers.

Further, Delhi-London Heathrow services will be cut to four from five per week for the current winter schedule starting from February 9.

IndiGo said the measures are being taken to avoid inconvenience to passengers due to misconnections and cascading delays.
