Haryana Cabinet Portfolios List 2024: The state government in Haryana took final shape on Monday, four day after BJP leader Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as the Chief Minister for a second straight term along with 13 MLAs as ministers. As per the portfolios allocated by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, CM Saini will oversee a total of 12 departments other than his role as Chief Minister. Anil Vij, Arvind Kumar Sharma, Shruti Choudhry and Arti Singh Rao are mong other ministers who were handed portfolios.
The development comes 13 days after the election results to the Assembly polls in Haryana were announced by the ECI. As per the results declared on October 8, the BJP emerged as the winner bagging 48 out of 90 seats and defying all exit poll predictions. The Congress trailed behind with 37 seats, the INLD 2 and Independents 3.
Haryana ministers list with portfolios:
Nayab Saini (Chief Minister): Home, Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation, Town and Country Planning and Urban Estates, Information and PR, Justice, General Admin, Housing, C.I.D, Personnel and Training, Law and Legislative. The CM will oversee all portfolios not allotted to any minister.
Anil Vij: Energy, Transport, Labour
Arvind Kumar Sharma: Co-operation, Jails, Elections, Heritage and Tourism
Shyam Singh Rana: Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Fisheries
Ranbir Singh Gangwa: Public Health Engineering, Public Works (Building & Roads)
Krishan Kumar Bedi: Social Justice, Empowerment, SCs and BCs Welfare and Antyodaya (SEWA), Hospitality, Architecture
Krishan Lal Panwar: Development and Panchayat, Mines and Geology
Rao Narbir Singh: Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forest and Wild Life, Foreign Cooperation, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare
Mahipal Dhanda: School Education, Higher Education, Archives, Parliamentary Affairs
Vipul Goel: Revenue and Disaster Management, Urban Local Bodies, Civil Aviation
Shruti Choudhry: Women and Child Development, Irrigation and Water Resources
Arti Singh Rao: Health, Medical Education and Research, AYUSH
Rajesh Nagar: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (Independent Charge), Printing and Stationery (Independent Charge)
Gaurav Gautam: Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), Sports (Independent Charge), Law and Legislative (Attached)
Haryana can have a maximum of 14 ministers, including the Chief Minister. Assembly elections in the state were held in a single phase on October 5 and the results were declared on October 8. The BJP's tally of 48 was its highest ever in the state that has traditionally seen a tight contest between the Congress and the BJP.
