AAP-da insulted Yamuna: PM Modi
The existence of Delhi itself has flourished in the lap of Mother Yamuna. The people of Delhi have been crying after seeing the condition of Yamuna as the AAP-da in Delhi has insulted this faith. Anna Hazara must be relieved today: PM Modi
PM Modi said that the Delhi election result must have come as a huge relief to activist Anna Hazare. "I was listening to what Anna Hazare said today about AAP's loss. Anna Hazare ji has been bearing the pain of the misdeeds of these people for a long time. Today he too must have got relief from that pain. The party born out of the movement against corruption got involved in corruption. Even he would have felt relief today that Delhi has done the right thing by voting BJP to power in the national capital," he said.
Once a mentor to Arvind Kejriwal, Hazare said the AAP "drowned" due to the liquor policy and its focus on money. "With the liquor policy issue came the money and they drowned in it. The (AAP's) image was tarnished. People saw him (Arvind Kejriwal) talking about clean character and then about liquor," Hazare told reporters in Maharashtra's Ralegan Siddhi village.
