As early trends showed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trailing in Delhi’s high-stakes Assembly polls, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah took to social media with a humorous meme, quipping "Aur lado aapas mein", a clear jab at the infighting within the INDIA bloc.
According to the latest data by the Election Commission (EC), the BJP is leading on 42 seats in the 70-member Assembly, with the AAP leading on the rest. Counting is currently underway in the national capital, with a clear verdict to come out later in the day.
“Aur lado aapas mein,” Abdullah wrote on X (formerly Twitter), as early trends began trickling in.

Congress and AAP, allies in the Lok Sabha elections, opted to contest the Delhi Assembly polls separately. Their leaders engaged in public spats, even labeling each other as the “B-team” of the BJP.
Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had earlier urged voters in the national capital to not "waste" their votes on Congress. He accused the Congress of indirectly aiding the BJP and alleged that the two parties were working together to defeat AAP.
"Why waste your votes on the Congress? The Congress will not win, it will just cut our votes. The Congress and the BJP are fighting this election together to defeat the AAP. Vote to make someone win, not to make someone lose," Kejriwal said.
